Information about when and how you can make an appeal to the Welsh Language Tribunal can be found in our guidance.

You can challenge a decision made by the Welsh Language Commissioner relating to the Welsh Language Standards in the following circumstances:

Challenging Standards imposed by the Welsh Language Commissioner

Appealing against the outcome of an investigation by the Welsh Language Commissioner

Reviewing a decision by the Welsh Language Commissioner not to investigate a complaint.

Important: Usually, you must submit your application to the Tribunal within 28 days, starting on the day you were officially informed of the Commissioner's decision.

To start an application, please complete the Notice of Application form and return it to the Tribunal by e-mail to tyg@gov.wales or by post to:
